always good to hear you read. i started thinking of poets on the way home - authors who, if you haven’t found them already, might inspire some different places in you: yusef komunyakaa, maurice manning’s book “lawrence booth’s book of visions”, olena kalytiak davis’ ” and her soul out of nothing,” and noelle kocot’s “poem for the end of time.” also, there’s a claudia rankine book called “don’t let me be lonely” that just popped into my head - some crazy prosey poems there.
also - have you ever tried writing in forms? with some of the repetition & rhythms that you have, just naturally, i think you might find yourself blasting off into some crazy pantoums or villanelles…
