npm: 25

Today is my dear friend Joel's birthday so this poem is for him.

horseshoe curve of the monongahela

04/25

Refrain of
thu-thunk as
train traces roundabout,
each car reflection
trembling.

Home
is a lookout we climb to,
a counting of clouds,
a bend we believe in,
a guitar strummed
so loud that
the river shakes
the town sways and
echoes refuse to depart.
